My sister got married last Saturday, November 1st at Bonnet Island Estate! Everything about it was absolutely stunning and I’m as proud and happy as a little sister/maid of honor could be. My sister, Jackie and her now husband, Jeff have been dating for ten years! So, it was about time they tied the knot.
Despite the potential storm watch on the news, extreme wind and chilly weather conditions, it did not stop us from having a wonderful wedding weekend. It only added to the charm. Plus, rain on a wedding day is good luck!
While getting ready, the maids and I stayed cozy in our high socks (thanks to Jeff, my brother-in-law) and pajama sets (thanks to my sister, Jack!). It was like Christmas morning! After we got ready, we took pictures… a lot of pictures. I added a few of my favorites below:

The ceremony in the Boathouse Chapel was so cozy and intimate. It was decorated beautifully with candles and soft lighting. And their vows were nothing short of amazing.

I’ve never been in a wedding, so I was pretty anxious to say my Maid of Honor speech, but luckily I practiced ahead of time with the bridesmaids. You can view my Maid of honor speech here if you’d like. I was nervous, but so excited and filled with emotion as we clinked champagne glasses and said cheers to the new couple! Congrats Jackie & Jeff!
After all of the speeches and the first dance as bride and groom, the dance floor was packed ALL night, which is a definite sign of a good wedding! Feel free to view #hopsuva on Instagram to see all of the details that were captured that night. I’ll just let the pictures speak for themselves…

Beautiful pics, especially the one of the bride and groom kissing! It’s so elegant with the fireplace and candles in the background.
Thank you! Yes, the last pictures was taken by photographer Lindsay Madden.
Your welcome! Absolutely beautiful…
