Today, I am so excited to share with you that I was nominated for a Liebster Award by Marie Islander on Instagram @marieislander! Thank you so much. Just yesterday, I was talking about how writing and managing a blog on WordPress really opens up a lot of opportunities to connect with other bloggers, photographers, and even large brands and companies.

I appreciate how supportive and welcoming the blogger community is, particularly among young women with similar interests as mine.

After searching through Google, I learned a little bit about what this award is about:

Once nominated for the Liebster Award, nominees will then have to nominate 11 new bloggers with 1,000 followers or less. Then bloggers will have to answer the questions below in a blog post and then link back to the blogger who nominated you and pass it along!

How did you come up with your blog name? 

I’ve always loved the expression, “live and learn” and thought it would be more interesting to translate it into Italian. I came up with my blog name in 2013 when I started blogging on blogspot.com.

Why did you start your blog? 

I started my blog as an outlet to write about my personal interests in college. I started following other bloggers, particularly, Smart Pretty & Awkward and Pumps & Iron. I admired their writing style and how they stayed true to themselves. I really have to thank Molly Ford from Smart Pretty & Awkward for motivating me and giving me the confidence to create my own blog and develop my writing style back in 2013.

What do you love most about blogging?

I LOVE the blogger community and connecting with other young women with similar interests. It is so fun for me to read stories and see how other successful bloggers are expressing and establishing their personal brand online.

What is the most ridiculous but very cool fashion trend you have ever participated in? 

Studs. I’ve worn this kind of edgy trend on shirts, boots, and my handbag. I haven’t worn studs in a while but I think it is a fun trend for going out on the weekend.

What’s one goal you wish to accomplish this year?

Besides finding a professionally rewarding career, my personal goal is to keep expanding my blog and become a digital influencer for brands.

How would you describe your personal style?

It depends on the day, but my personal style is pretty relaxed and comfortable. I love to wear black jeans or leggings, but I know when I need to dress up and I enjoy that as well!

What is your favorite social media site?

Instagram is my favorite social media site. I love taking pictures on my phone, and it is entertaining and convenient to share with others. Follow me @vivieimpara 🙂

What is your favorite store?

Can I choose a food store? TRADER JOE’S!

What is one fear you would like to conquer? 

My fear of taking the subway alone. Eventually I will get there!
