If you’ve ever wanted dessert for breakfast, then I have a treat for you!
Maybe I’m longing for the cookies from my Healthier Desserts after Your Next Holiday Party post, or maybe I’m just over the New Years Resolutions craze (because we should strive to be healthy everyday?!)
Enter – Oatmeal Cookie Dough Protein Smoothie. This recipe was inspired by Amanda’s Oatmeal Cookie Dough Smoothie over at Running with Spoons. With a little extra vanilla protein powder and cacao nibs or raw dark chocolate you get this deliciously creamy smoothie that tastes like oatmeal and chocolate chip cookie dough batter.
- 1 small frozen banana
- ½ cup raw oats
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (I use PlantFusion)
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavor
- ½ cup vanilla almond milk
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- Sprinkle cacao nibs
- Place all of the above ingredients into a standard blender and blend until smooth.
- Sprinkle cacao nibs or raw chocolate on top!
